BPA Maine has built a case study for building capacity and increasing the number of homes and businesses being weatherized.

Key points of the case study include:
    • State support for weatherization workforce training and equipment is key to meeting Maine's goals for increased weatherization of Maine homes and businesses.
    • The Maine Climate Council's 4-Year Plan for Climate Action- Maine Won't Wait calls for doubling the current pace of home weatherization.
    • Weatherization expansion will create training opportunities and quality jobs with family-supporting wages and benefits for every part of Maine.
    • Fewer than 20 Maine Companies provide up to 75% of the weatherization projects under the Efficiency Maine Home Energy Savings Program (HESP).
    • State Funding for Weatherization Training Programs is Critical to Meeting the Council's Goals.
